For some strange reason, Disney’s official YouTube channel streamed live Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker trailer on a loop for 13 minutes straight this afternoon. When Disney first started the newest era of Star Wars projects, fan expectations were high. From 2015 Star Wars: The Force Awakens It came in a cloud of nostalgia and drew fans new and old to the franchise. However, reception of the studio’s efforts soon began to wane, with films such as Star Wars: The Last Jedi Y Solo: A Star Wars Story earning divisive to lukewarm reviews.
This apparently culminated in The rise of Skywalker, the 2019 movie that culminated the Skywalker saga and Disney’s first round Star Wars films. Directed by a returning JJ Abrams, The rise of Skywalker he apparently tried to correct some of the more controversial aspects of previous films. However, by revealing things like Rey’s (Daisy Ridley) true parentage and the miraculous resurrection of Emperor Palpatine (Ian McDairmid), The rise of Skywalker sparked even more mixed reactions, leaving the franchise in a strange place.
And yet, on Tuesday afternoon, it seemed that Disney did not want to leave The rise of Skywalker Go. At Walt Disney Animation Studios YouTube page, started a live broadcast, perhaps with the intention of promoting their next release. Raya and the last dragon. Instead, those who tuned in received 13 minutes of The rise of Skywalkertrailer. The video has since been removed, but fans have already noticed its existence online.
Most likely it was a mistake on the part of a Disney employee. The study does not need to promote The rise of Skywalker at this point, and it doesn’t make sense why the channel would want to air the trailer on a constant loop. Some might like a more in-depth explanation of how this could have happened, but so far, Disney has not said anything. They will most likely not comment on it and instead will just move on as if nothing happened.
Still, the Rise of Skywalker The goof was a fun fact that certainly inspired some laughter, confused looks, and general joy. The movie itself may have been met with mixed reactions, but there is no denying that there is nothing more exciting than a Star Wars trailer. Between the music and the voice-overs of familiar characters, The rise of Skywalker had a pretty solid marketing campaign. In a way, it’s nice that the trailer got some new attention, even if it was brief.
