Matthew McConaughey had his breakout moment at Richard Linklater’s Dazed and confused (1993) while studying Radio-Television-Film at the University of Texas at Austin. McConaughey ventured into voice acting with two 2016 animated releases: Laika’s Kubo and the two strings and the musical jukebox Sings. In the first, he played the supporting role of Beetle. The film follows Buster as he organizes a singing contest to boost the business of his failed theater.
