Warning! Spoilers for Fast and furious 9 go ahead.
Fast and furious 9The post-credits scene is just the beginning of true justice for Han, according to director Justin Lin. The filmmaker returns to The Fast Saga after several years, and this time, it will stay until the end. In addition to directing the latest installment in the franchise, he will also headline both Fast and furious 10 Y eleven who will film back to back.
The main story of F9 revolves around the return of Jakob Toretto, Dom and Mia’s estranged brother. While Toretto’s younger brother has no problem, he is determined to resolve his grudge with Dom, who banished him years ago after realizing he had something to do with the racing accident that killed his father. Cipher also influences the film, as he undermines Jakob’s operations. But aside from this main story, there is also a lot of excitement for the return of Han, who was considered dead for a time, after Deckard Shaw plotted his disappearance through a car accident in Tokyo.

Since it was revealed that Major Shaw was behind the accident that supposedly killed Han, there is a push for him to be held accountable for what he did. The online movement called “Justice for Han” finally got a positive development through F9Post-credits scene where the adversaries meet face to face. In an interview with THR, Lin explains what it means to advance the stinger. Read what Lin said below:
It’s interesting because a lot of people assume that when Han comes back in 9, that’s Justice for Han. I never felt like that was the case. The problem with Justice for Han is not, “Hey, he’s gone, we want him back.” It was that something was not right and we have to find a way to correct it. For me, the most critical element of this is the treatment of this character. So Justice for Han, actually, is how we treat Han when he returns and as we move forward. There’s definitely a lot to explore and unpack and that’s just one moment that I wanted to share with the audience, that there’s so much more to come.
The aforementioned post-credits scene is short; in it, Han knocks on Deckard’s door. Seeing the man he supposedly killed long ago, Brother Shaw was obviously shocked. Han, on the other hand, doesn’t seem interested in finding out about his killer on how he survived his assassination attempt. This effectively confirms that Deckard will somehow take into account Fast and furious 10 as it’s hard not to tackle this reunion given how eager fans are to learn more about it. As Kang said, the chances of his character simply involving Deckard in a fist fight are slim to none, so it will be more interesting than that.
Lin has expressed her intentions to fully comply with the justice that many fans continue to demand for what happened to Han in The Fast Saga. However, this particular plot point will not be the main narrative of any movie. So understandably, it would take a few movies to tackle it properly. The post-credits scene of Fast and furious 9 it’s a promising first step as it sends a clear message that eventually this will be addressed.
