Jason Reitman has screened his highly anticipated upcoming sequel, Ghostbusters: Afterlife for original Ghostbusters cast member Ernie Hudson.
Ghostbusters: Another Life Director Jason Reitman has screened the long-awaited sequel to the original Ghostbusters, Ernie Hudson. The new movie won’t be released until next November due to Covid-19 delays, but that hasn’t stopped fans from getting more and more excited about what’s in store for them.
Future life It is reportedly focused on creating a new generation of Ghostbusters, with a story that avoids the trampled New York City grounds of the original films and instead embraces a more rural setting. In addition to the new angle on the beloved Ghostbusters concept, Future life brings an entirely new cast of characters including characters like Paul Rudd, Carrie Coon (The sinner) Y Strange things star, Finn Wolfhard. The sequel also marks the return of the surviving original Ghostbusters. Whether or not this is the last time people like Bill Murray, Ernie Hudson and Dan Aykroyd will be seen together in a Ghostbusters The film remains unknown, but it is already clear that if Future life is a success, the nearly four-decade franchise will expand in exciting new directions.
So far not much has been said publicly about what Future life it is like. Production on the film is long over, but very few people have seen it. However, in a new post on his official Instagram account, Future life director, Jason reitman, revealed that the original Ghostbusters, Ernie Hudson, has already seen the movie. In the new photo (below), a smiling Reitman can be seen standing next to an equally satisfied Hudson. The Ghostbusters logo can also be seen attached to an adjacent building. The image includes a short but sweet message from Reitman: “A Ghostbusters has seen Ghostbusters after death.” Check out the post below:
Although Hudson seems pleased, it’s hard to judge his opinion of the new movie without a quote. Unfortunately, Hudson hasn’t said anything at the time of writing, but again, beyond confirming whether he liked what he saw or not, there is very little he can legally say about the film at this time. What is known is that another original Ghostbusters, Bill Murray, has previously spoken about the film and how he feels it brings the franchise back to life. Murray has earned a reputation over the years for being critical of the series, having previously spoken Ghostbusters II and held out for years before returning for a sequel. Your recent approval regarding Future life As well as Hudson’s apparent enjoyment of it, it will further fuel fan enthusiasm levels in the run-up to its release.
Possibly one of the most encouraging aspects for Ghostbusters: Another Life is that it tries (and apparently succeeds) to take what fans love about the original films and inject new life into the whole concept. After so much conflict in the years leading up to this sequel, hopefully the franchise can once again offer fun and comical versions of the battle to keep the supernatural world at bay. For now, fans will have to guess Hudson’s official reaction to the movie, but it’s hard to deny that his smile seems one of satisfaction.
