Marvel Social Media Ignores Venom On Let There Be Carnage’s Release Day

Venom: Let There Be Carnage has hit theaters, but the movie is absent from Marvel’s website and social media accounts, likely due to it being a Sony movie.

Poison: let there be slaughter It was eventually released in theaters, but you wouldn’t know it by looking at Marvel’s social media, as the movie is not mentioned. First Poison It was a surprise success when it hit theaters, grossing $ 856.1 million worldwide, and Sony strove to expand its own cinematic universe. Poison: let there be slaughter is the second film in Sony’s Spider-Man Universe and features the Marvel characters Venom, Carnage, and Shriek.

Venom is arguably one of Marvel’s most marketable characters, as his likeness can be found on numerous comics, t-shirts, and merchandise. Marvel Comics has even put more emphasis on expanding the Venom and Carnage mythology with the creation of characters like Knull the King in Black and the creation of the Necrosword weapon. It seemed like Marvel was building anticipation for Poison: let there be slaughter and I was betting on supporting the character.

Despite all this, it seems that Marvel has made no reference to its release. On the Marvel website, there is no mention of the release of Poison: let there be slaughter. Under the movie tabs, they have all the MCU movies and Fox movies that were acquired in the Disney acquisition, but the non-MCU Sony movies are not mentioned. Marvel Entertainment’s Twitter has also made no reference to the release of Poison: let there be slaughter, which instead reminds fans to get tickets to Shang-Chi and the legend of the ten rings.

Before Marvel Studios, Marvel would put emphasis on all of their movies on their websites, and even with the release of Iron Man and The incredible Hulk in 2008, the company would still focus on non-MCU properties like X-Men Origins: Wolverine, which would be the last Fox X-Men movie to get a toy line. However, once Disney bought the studio, there was a greater effort to focus on the characters to which the company had film rights. The X-Men in the comics took a backseat to the Inhumans, as Marvel was positioning them to be the MCU’s replacement for the 2015 team and cast. Fantastic 4 reboot was even wiped out in the pages of a Punisher comic. Now that Disney and Marvel have acquired the rights to both franchises, The X-Men and Fantastic 4 have had massive returns in the comics.

Poison: let there be slaughter is made by Sony, and Marvel Entertainment, which is a subsidiary of Disney, is still looking to put the emphasis on its movies first with Shang-Chi and the legend of the ten rings still in theaters and Eternal a month away. The two studios are likely to work closely together on the launch of Spider-Man: No Way Home since both studios have an interest in the success of that movie. However, this means that Morbius It’s also likely to be ignored on Marvel social media sites, as well as future Sony Spider-Man movies.
