Paul Giamatti Is Fine Not Returning As Rhino In The MCU

Paul Giamatti from The Amazing Spider-Man 2 says it’s okay not to return as the villain Rhino in the MCU, and says it’s okay to leave him where he is.

Actor Paul Giamatti has stated that he has no problem not reprising Rhino in any of the upcoming films of the series. Marvel Cinematic Universe. Giamatti originally played the role of Rhino, also known as Aleksei Sytsevich, in 2014. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 opposite Andrew Garfield’s Spider-Man, albeit in a much smaller role than fans initially expected. Then Giamatti was ready to return in The Amazing Spider-Man 3, which was scheduled for 2016, and would probably have appeared in the plan as well Sinister six movie. Holland’s Spider-Man will be the next to appear in Spider-Man: No Way Home later this year. While little is known about the actual plot, both Jaime Foxx -who played Electro in The Amazing Spider-Man 2– and Alfred Molina – who played Doctor Octopus in Sam Raimi Spider man 2 Back in 2004 – they will return in those roles much to the enthusiasm of the fans. Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange will also appear, and considering his next sequel Doctor Strange and the multiverse of madness will lean on the Marvel multiverse, many have speculated that this will play a role in bringing these villains into the MCU to reprise their roles. Naturally, this also led many to wonder if Giamatti’s Rhino would make the leap to the MCU as well.

However, in a recent interview with before the release of his next Netflix movie Gunpowder shake Later this month, Giamatti has confirmed that he will not be returning to the role of Rhino. Also, it seems the actor is completely fine with not being invited to Spider-Man’s outing.

“I’m happy. I hadn’t followed any of [these rumors]. Someone else just asked me about this so I hadn’t been following it. I agree with that. I’m certainly fine if I leave everything where it is. It’s ok with me.”

While fans may be disappointed that Giamatti doesn’t don the Rhino armor once again, if the actor is so “happy” as he then claims all power for himself. Certainly, Giamatti has not been affected by the cancellation of the Spiderman movies he was attached to, and has since gone on to star in the lead role in the Showtime movie. Thousands of millions and it’s scheduled to appear at Disney’s Jungle cruise later this year. Rhino may not be included in No way home It is the best also considering that the character did not have a fair presentation in Amazing Spider-Man 2. More importantly, one of the biggest complaints about that movie was that there was too much going on and that it couldn’t balance having three antagonists, and that Rhino was used more to hold the movie down.

Marvel Studios has managed to avoid making this mistake with their movies so far with most of their movies, even their group endeavors, focusing on one or two villains for the heroes to deal with. While the MCU’s Spider-Man movies are produced by Sony, if both studios want to avoid making the same mistake that affected The Amazing Spider-Man 2 so on the negative, not including Rhino seems like a smart move. If Giamatti agrees with this, and the content is working on other projects, then it seems like everyone wins. Fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe you just have to wait and see what the next Spider-Man adventure brings us No way home when it launches on December 17, and they can catch Giamatti in Gunpowder shake when it hits Netflix on July 14.
