I would love to see something new. I think Claire is unfortunately a bit on the sidelines of games and I’m not ready to let her go just yet. I think it has more to do. It definitely has more of a mission. I’d love to see her team up with Joe. I’d love to see her explore her relationship with her brother a bit more. I think he has a long way to go, and I would be very excited to wear those boots.
While a sequel to welcome to Raccoon city It likely depends on how well it performs at the box office, it certainly seems like Scodelario wants the story to continue. After appearing prominently in the early games of the series, Claire begins to exist more on the periphery of the city. resident Evil universe as new characters and plot threads are introduced. It remains to be seen what role Claire will play in welcome to Raccoon City, But the marketing material suggests that she will be front and center for most of it.
As a medium of storytelling, video games are very different from movies, and while making room for new leads might have made sense for games, keeping Claire Redfield at the center of the story might be the best decision if the future resident Evil Movies are revealed. Although Paul WS Anderson’s previous films were nearly all criticized, they were box office hits and Jovovich was largely the centerpiece of the entire franchise. Yes welcome to Raccoon city makes Claire so enjoyable and exciting to watch as Jovovich’s Alice, there’s a good chance audiences won’t mind if they step out of the game to explore Scodelario’s character further.
