In a recent interview, Falcon and the Winter Soldier The star, Sebastian Stan, spoke about an injury he sustained while filming. The show is one of the latest ventures in the Marvel Cinematic Universe on Disney +. Follow Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) and Bucky Barnes (Stan) after the events of Avengers Endgame and focuses on the ramifications of the problem and Steve giving up the mantle of Captain America. The six-episode miniseries received positive reviews from both fans and critics, with a score of 88% on Rotten tomatoes.
Stan started his time in the MCU from the beginning when he starred Captain America the First Avenger alongside Chris Evans as Steve Rogers. He then made his second appearance in Captain America: The Winter Soldier as the titular Winter Soldier. In the movie, Steve discovers that his friend Bucky did not die in WWII, but was captured by Hydra and brainwashed into becoming a killer super soldier. The role requires Stan to play a different type of Bucky in each story, but it always comes with extensive stunt work and fight choreography.

In an interview with Variety, Stan revealed that he sustained an injury while filming the show. With the number of fight scenes throughout the show, it may come as no surprise to fans that Stan got injured on set; but according to him, the injury occurred during a relatively tame scene. In the fifth episode, Sam and Bucky spend some time fixing Sam’s family boat. The scene involves a montage of the couple repairing the ship and walking along the docks. While jumping off a dock onto the ship, Stan sprained his ankle. Stan recalled: “I landed and sprained my ankle so much that I thought it was broken. Like I can’t really walk on it. “
In the interview, Stan goes on to explain that a sprained ankle wasn’t the only injury he sustained while filming. Hawk and winter Soldier, although his other injury didn’t actually happen on set. During a “night piss,” Stan hit his little finger so hard it broke it. This caused the actor a lot of pain on set during filming. He said Variety:
Between takes, when we had to do the setups, I’d run up the stairs and two people would help me take this boot off and I’d just take my foot and put it in an ice bucket.
Despite the injuries, Stan doesn’t seem to be looking to stop playing Bucky anytime soon. Marvel executives have not officially confirmed a second season of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier (or Captain America: The Winter Soldier, as the final title card doubles the show), but a fourth Captain America The movie is confirmed to be in the works, and it makes sense for Stan to play a major role in the movie. For now, fans can look forward to the rest of the Phase 4 Marvel properties scheduled for release.
