Taylor Swift will join the huge cast of David O. Russell’s upcoming film, Canterbury Glass, starring Christian Bale. The film will be Russell’s first film since Joy in 2015 with Jennifer Lawrence, Édgar Ramírez, and Robert De Niro. Russell has previously directed the Academy Award-nominated films, The Fighter, Silver Linings Playbook, Y American Hustle. Russell’s next film will be a period drama about a partnership between a doctor and a lawyer that New Regency and 20th Century Studios are expected to debut this year with production by Arnon Milchan, Anthony Katagas and Matthew Budman.
For Collider, Taylor Swift is reported to have been cast in an undisclosed role in Canterbury Glass, which Russell will write and direct. Swift is an 11 Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter whose global hit singles include “You belong to I, “ “We will never ever be Together, “ “I knew you were a problem,“ Y “Shake it Switched off.“ His acting credits include Valentine’s Day, The donor, and more recently, Cats, based on Andrew Lloyd Webber’s stage musical, directed by Tom Hooper.
