The Haunting of Hill House creator Mike Flanagan will direct The Season of Passage, an adaptation of Christopher Mike’s science fiction horror novel set on Mars.
Sleep doctor Director Mike Flanagan will direct and produce a new horror film, The passing season, based on the book by Christopher Pike. Best recognized for his acclaimed Netflix horror anthology series, The haunting, which spanned two shows – The curse of Hill House (2018) and The curse of Bly Manor (2020), Flanagan has established himself as a revered name within the horror genre. Lately, Flanagan’s career has advanced at a rapid pace as he vows to create more moving and chilling content for both television and movies. The writer / director has just finished production on his Netflix series, Midnight mass, and has already jumped to adapt Pike’s The midnight club for the streamer. Now Flanagan has set his sights on another of Pike’s novels.
As advertised Term, Flanagan has signed on to direct the adaptation of Pike’s 1993 Mars-based science fiction horror novel. The passing season. Universal Pictures acquired the rights to the film after a competitive bidding war, and will produce the film alongside Flanagan and his Intrepid Pictures partner, Trevor Macy.
