Spider-Man: No Way Home star Tom Holland says he’s ready to take a short break from acting once the upcoming superhero sequel wraps up filming.

Tom Holland is ready to take a break from acting once he’s done Spider-Man: No Way Home. After earning a few credits in the early 2010s, Holland rose to stardom when he was cast as Peter Parker / Spider-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He debuted as the character in 2016 Captain America: Civil War and has reprized the role five more times, appearing in two Avengers movies and headlining his own solo Spiderman trilogy. Marvel has consisted of most of its titles in recent years, but Holland kept busy between MCU installments.

In addition to Spider-Man, Holland balanced his filmography with smaller dramas (The devil all the time, cherry), voiceover roles (Dolittle, go ahead) and other genre films (Chaos Walking, Uncharted). Talking with USA Today, Holland was asked about his plans after Spider man 3 Is complete. While taking his well-earned break, Holland could start skiing as a new hobby:

I’m going to take a break. I’ll go home and enjoy a little time. It’s the first time since I signed with Spider-Man 1 that I don’t have a contract with someone. I think I could go skiing. Because that’s something that I haven’t really been allowed to do, because I had to stay fit and healthy and ready to work. So I think I could try going skiing somewhere. I do not know. I’m just going to go home and see where the wind takes me.

Tom Holland Spider Man Far From Home Peter Parker sad

Holland quickly became a favorite with viewers thanks to his genuine enthusiasm and boyish charm, so it will be sad to see him walk away for a while. However, taking a short break is ultimately best as it will give Holland a chance to recharge his batteries before heading back to the big screen. As he says, he currently has no contract for any future projects, so he is going to take advantage of that. As much as the public likes to see it, nobody wants Holland to get burned. And it’s not like the Netherlands is pulling out; he is a game to do so many Spiderman movies like Marvel wants it, and it’s also slated to appear in another MCU crossover movie as part of the current Disney-Sony deal. Moviegoers will see the actor a lot in the years to come.

Somehow, the Dutch break comes at the perfect time. Spider-Man: No Way Home it feels like the end of a phase in his career, concluding a trilogy and a journey that began several years ago. It will be interesting to see what Holland does in his next chapter when he returns from vacation. Recently, he has started to show a different side of his range, especially in Cherry Y The devil all the time. Perhaps you will use your spare time to find similar and more dramatic projects to take on and establish yourself as a well-rounded performer. Of course, it also remains to be seen what Marvel plans to do with Spider-Man in the future. Holland is one of the faces of the MCU, and the partnership between Disney and Sony has been fruitful. It wouldn’t be surprising to see the two studios continue to work together.
